Jail Ministry

We are blessed to honor Chaplain Dave Seeley as he retires from the position of Ontario County Jail Chaplain after serving in the position since 1993. Dave has volunteered in the jail ministry in Ontario County for 41 years. We look forward to continuing our financial and volunteer support for the Jail Ministry and the new appointed Jail Chaplain.

Jail Ministry History:

Our ministry in the Ontario County Jail was begun in 1975. After retiring from teaching in 1991, Dave Seeley was asked to consider being chaplain, as he had the training and the experience. He accepted that position and began as our chaplain in September of 1992. Later, Dave was designated as the official jail chaplain of the Ontario County Jail. With the recent construction of the jail, inmates now have a Chapel in which to worship and Chaplain Dave has a permanent office. Dave also works with a team of approved lay volunteers who lead Bible studies and Sunday services. By the grace of God, we have seen hundreds of inmates turn from their sin and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and guide of their lives.
